Youth Online is a grassroots project addressing the lack of LGBTQIA+ representation in the Australian sex-ed curriculum. Through the co-design of an online sexual health resource, Youth Online is created directly with LGBTQIA+ young people, for LGBTQIA+ young people.
Designed to supplement face-to-face education and health care, the online resource has been established on a foundation of University research and continues to evolve using human-centred design processes. We are listening to the young people who this resource is designed for and are guided by the health professionals who are experts in their field.
Youth Online is supported by Thorne Harbour Health. With the help of Youth Affairs Council Victoria, this project has been financially supported by the Victorian Government through a Healthy Equal Youth Grant.
